My Big Album Review Strikes Again. The Green Hour Band: S/T

On their self-titled debut full-length [buy], Vancouver, Canada's The Green Hour Band blends all the best elements of psychedelia (The Yardbirds, Syd Barrett-era Pink Floyd), proto-punk (The Stooges, The Velvet Underground) and good old fashioned garage rock (Captain Beefheart, MC5) into some of the best hyper-retro 60's revival that I've heard in a long while.

the green hour would be better if they traveled and had a fan base aside from the collective of vancouver. its like someones parents clapping at a recital. I think that whoever wrote this knows the band or is afraid to speak out. as am i, because life in this city is like that... you just gotta fake good face.

and one more thing. i doubt those clothes they wear were what they wore two years ago, unless they are a bunch of style biting fags for life

i think they are alright, except most people find them to be a joke in van. its like saying you pulled a _____ fill-in-the-blank-famous-name.

if you want to say somehting sucks, say its like the green hour band
