The Todd P Mid Summer Outdoor Party at The Yard on the Gowanus Canal in Gowanus, Brooklyn on 7.12.08 was loud, noisy and the show of the summer ...so far.
All the sets that I caught were killer --- Vivian Girls, Ponytail, Chinese Stars, Telepathe, Shy Child, Titus Andronicus, High Places.
However, the highlight for me was --- without a doubt --- New Jersey's Titus Andronicus.
I've been (loudly) enjoying their LP, The Airing of Greivances [buy], for a few months now but during their live set, the punk-laced tracks took on a whole new meaning.
Catch them live --- you won't regret it.
